I wish to thank everybody who attended the Memorial Service, I Love You.
I wish to thank one and all for lit candles, condolences and flowers, I love you.Thank you for celebrating the life of my daughter Vanessa Page Downing. She is a bold Spirit. She is tough!
The girl has always had nerve. She is competitive. She enjoyed being identified as a person with a hard work ethic. She spent a lot of time in intense study. She knew hard work amounted into something like reward and respect.
It is important for me to let you know that Vanessa was a real fun and rewarding experience for me, as a father, and a friend, and later in life, even as a fan!
She gave me 26 plus years of smiles and laughs. I treasure her and I am ever so proud of her success's and achievements as a worker and as a human being.
It sounds cliche but Vanessa Page lived the life she loved, and she loved the life she lived!
To quote an old friend I say good bye this way: If I don't see you no more in this world,
I'll see ya in the next one-and don't be late!....Forever in my heart Vanessa Page Downing
Rod, Erin & Ruby
We want to say we are so sorry for your lost. Vanessa touched our hearts even as a small child. She was very special and we send our love to you all.
I am very sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure of meeting Vanessa when I we were taking some classes at the Operator's Training center. We happened to be roommates for that month, and we would stay up late at nights talking about everything we could think of about the construction industry! She was such a sweet, eager, hardworking young woman, and she will be deeply missed.
The news of Vanessa's passing emotionally affected our entire agency. Everytime she visited our agency her smile and positive energy would light up the room. When she bought her first home, I told her that there were not many young ladies her age that could do what she has done and afford her own home. She smiled and said thanks for the words of encouragement and then gave my office manager Adrienne a big hug before leaving. We will always remember her and hope that other young people will work as hard as her to achieve their goals.
"Life is but a dream in reality. Dreams do come true with hard work and persistence."
I am so sorry for your loss. Vanessa touched the hearts of all the men and women who worked along side of her. The only word that really descibes her best is sweet. That is what comes out of the mouths of all the people I talk to who knew her. She made me smile every single time I saw her which is hard for me to do while on the job. The kind of person Vanessa was in the end made it clear to God
that she had completed her schooling here on earth and he has a very special place there with him. She was an absolute joy to be around and he has welcomed her home with open arms. She will most surely be missed here on earth, though, very much.
Thank you for brining into the world and raising a wonderful person. She had the courage and the confidence to do the hard work in the field.
Rod, Erin and Ruby please accept my condolences for the tragic loss of our Vanessa. She was an amazing and energetic person who accomplished much and not without caring and kindness for others either. She made many friends along her travels and stays forever alive in our hearts and minds.
My love to Erin, Rod and Ruby. I am so sorry. Vanessa will forever be in my heart.
